Hi, I am Patrice from Women Seeking Christ and author of the Bible study “Fake News About Women,” both inspired by women of the Bible. Despite being second-class citizens, these ancient women didn’t let life roll them over. Although considered chattel they ran businesses, rescued those in need, served others, led armies, and shared the Gospel of Jesus Christ despite persecution.
Women of the Bible still influence our lives today. Take this quiz and find out which one(s) will help you grow spiritually and make the best mentor for you in this season of life. After you answer the last question (# 11), your biblical mentor(s) will pop up.
PLEASE NOTE: If you don’t see the answer right away scroll clear to the top of the page and then begin scrolling down and you will eventually see your mentor(s). There will be at least two women listed. Also, you can download a free e-book on prayer after completing the quiz.
Also, you will be offered a free e-book, “Jumpstart Your Prayer Life” after you complete the quiz.
Have Fun!

I marvel at the intrinsic power given to women by our Creator. Considered chattel in Biblical times, these women did not stand idly by while life rolled them over. Women have the ability to impact the world in a profound way. Even me. Even YOU. Even NOW.

My biblical mentors are Lydia and Deborah. Although I admire Deborah and she would make a great mentor, I think Lydia is a better choice for me. Lydia ran her own successful business and I think she could be a big help to me in my endeavors. She also enjoyed spending time and with other women and learning about her faith. I relate to her curious nature. Everyone tells me I ask too many questions! Tell us about your mentors and if you think they fit. Why or Why not?
There’s not a lot of information about Anna , but we can still recognize that she was faithful, humble, persistent, patient, and expectant! The first to praise God for His wonderful gift. A special woman indeed.

I thoroughly enjoyed this! I often have wondered who my spiritual mentors might be. I am pleased and grateful for both Anna and the Shunammite woman. I am humbled and honored that they are my mentors. I will continually strive to be more like them and my precious Jesus!!!!!!!
Interesting, the juxtaposition between Elizabeth and Ruth, and not just due to their age difference.
Elizabeth has long fascinated me. Imagine being married to a priest (in our day, a pastor) making his living by instructing people who is unable to speak for possibly a year. (We don’t know how long his rotation at the temple was nor whether Elizabeth got pregnant right away.) Then she hid herself away for a time, even from her temporarily silent husband. What an exciting time, and yet how exhausting — life gets more arduous as we age, doesn’t it?
Then Ruth… I know well how it feels to leave your past. Shortly before I turned 28 I walked away from the religion of my youth. When elders tried to tell me I was unrepentant yet I knew my apology had been accepted and I’d been forgiven by God, I looked at them and respectfully said, “I don’t know who you’re hearing from but it’s not God and I’m not sticking around to find out.” So, the Witness elders disfellowshipped me and I lost everyone I knew. A tough time in my life but 4-1/2 years later I said “yes” to Jesus’ offer of relationship. So, what happened with Ruth? Had she already been ostracized because she married someone who wasn’t a Moabite? And could she see, as I came to learn, that following a religion might be all rules and regs, but what does that get you? Far better to follow the lead of someone who’d rather worship her God even if she thought He dealt bitterly with her. That’s what she wanted! Who knew where it would take her but it was better than what she had.
Thank you fir this quiz. All of Heaven’s best to each of you and all whom you hold dear.

This was an interesting quiz. I have said before to people that if I could be anyone in the Bible it would be Anna.
